The Awakening: A Cultural Crisis
This film marks my first-ever produced visual project, created in collaboration with Gianni Russo, best known for his role in The Godfather. The piece is a short yet powerful visual essay exploring how cultural identity is shifting in today’s society. It examines the social, economic, and emotional forces that shape our shared cultural moments — and the awakening that comes with recognizing them. Blending documentary sensibilities with reflective storytelling, the project laid the foundation for my approach to narrative-driven visual work and culturally focused storytelling.
Is San Diego’s Little Italy the Real Deal?
Produced in collaboration with Sal Valentinetti and the media brand Growing Up Italian, this project takes viewers into the heart of one of America’s most recognizable Italian-American neighborhoods. The film explores San Diego’s Little Italy through its food, traditions, and community voices, examining how heritage is preserved — and redefined — in a modern city. Through interviews, local insight, and on-the-ground storytelling, the piece reflects my continued focus on cultural identity, authenticity, and place-based narratives.
